Hexagon Tower Update

The new tower is a little over 400 meters tall with a series of hexagonal floor plates and an exoskeleton system. I kept the alternating floor plates because it actually works with the geometry of the structure better. The underside of the floor plates are composed of smaller hexagonal ribs to reinforce the structure. I will try to develop the composition of the facade more tomorrow but model will be my first priority. Structure, Rendering, Progress

Much of my time has been spent redrawing and reworking the linework for the exoskeleton structure and facade. It's become more of a shroud covering by adding a density of thin, uniform members. At the base of the high riser, some of the members peel from the facade creating an open threshold to the building. Future iterations will develop the idea further to create informal spaces for gathering.
